All You Need to Know

Mohs surgery is widely recognized as the most curative way to treat many skin cancers.  Dr Mohs originally developed this technique in the 1970's and subsequently trained a generation of Mohs Surgeons.  Dr Strasswimmer is proud to be part of this important legacy and contributes to advancements by teaching other Mohs Surgeons.  Dr Strasswimmer is a "Surgeon's Surgeon" often called upon to address situations that other doctors find too challenging.


Mohs surgery - also called "Mohs micrographic surgery"  or "Mohs chemosurgery" -  has been refined every decade into the most advanced, precise, and effective treatment for an increasing variety of skin cancer types. With the Mohs technique, Dr Strasswimmer can precisely identify and remove all of the skin cancer and its roots while leaving the surrounding healthy tissue largey intact


You want your skin cancer treatment to be performed with the highest standards of quality and competency.  Dr Strasswimmer is proud to have completed a rigorous Felloship by the The American College of Mohs Surgery - also called "The Mohs College".  The Mohs College is the only organization that requires its members to have successfully completed an extensive fellowship that requires at least one full year of training and hands-on experience provided by highly qualified instructors after completing their years of residency training. Dr strasswimer is one of the few int the area to have completed this training after finishing at Yale Medical School - Yale New Haven hospital.
